Spring Dance

The scent of spring burns in our nostrils. Feet hammer the ground. Drums beat our hearts. In the circle we dance. In the dance we sing. Our other sounds are blacked out. All other sounds are surrounding us. We hear the whistle of the forest in the crystal clear, misty air. Fire dances in our eyes. Our fire eyes burn through everything, echoing the molten sea in our veins. The Song of spring makes us deaf, and we hear better than ever. Naked bodies dance to the beat of the forest. I am Maxine the witch, and I fill myself. I drink from a cup never empty. The wolf is calling me home. I hear its call, and I heed its crystal clear voice. Voices of the circle dance respond, crying out in wild abandon, letting go of everything not life.

It's January. Branches are sprouting. The fields are turning green, here in the far, far north. We know the terrible and joyous song: The Earth is calling us home. The tribe dances to the rhythm of the noisy night.

The wolf meets me in the forest glen. My spirit meets me. I face it, I feel it, in every beat of my heart, every drop of blood flowing through my veins.

The Song thunders through the night, through the gray office spaces of current, half dead humanity.

We sing, and it is a song both silent and loud. Listen. Listen to the true voice of the Human Being.

THOSE NOT BUSY BEING BORN ARE BUSY DYING
THOSE NOT BUSY BEING BORN ARE BUSY DYING
THOSE NOT BUSY BEING BORN ARE BUSY DYING
THOSE NOT BUSY BEING BORN ARE BUSY DYING
THOSE NOT BUSY BEING BORN ARE BUSY DYING

  2. Thanks, Jo, for the words to warm my heart.

Yes, it is the spirit guide. It is me, really, my Shadow, a representation of my eternal Self.

I want to share with u stories about the wolves, I've had a look thru some of your other sites and think that u would find these interesting...
It started when I was very young, I dreamed about wolves ALOT and would also see them in the corner of my bedroom as I was going to sleep, (dogs have also always been very suspicious of me) Once when I was out with on a date with this guy, who was making me feel quite uncomfortable, he took me for a drive (I wasn't feeling good about this, but wasn't sure what to do at this point)as we started driving up a hill out of town, a dog/wolf dove out of the bushes on the side of the road and snarling viciously, bearing all its teeth stred down the car. I knew immediately what I had to do..I made him turn around and take us back into town. Something would have happened (God knows what) if it wasn't for this wolf. I believe it was a spirit protector or 'something' warning me.
Thank you for your inspiring post, I love the "Those not busy being born are busy dying"

It's a very interesting and inspiring story. Yes, i do believe we give ourselves messages when we are in danger or want to "get out". We, all human beings are far more powerful than we told we are. They want us to remain powerless our potential wasted, so we need to empower outselves, to go deep and open ourselves to our Power. that's what I did when I realized i was a witch.
